Aromatherapy certainly can help you relax and there are so many products available on the market. There are even sleep aid products like Sweet Dreams Naturopatch Sleep Aid. It's a patch that offers a pleasant fragrance to help set the stage for a restful night. Naturopatch uses scents associated with pleasure such as lavender, chamomile and jasmine, to sedate and discourage headaches. In my opinion even if it didn't work, I would still enjoy the beauty of the fragrance.

I've tried what I thought was aromatherapy in the past, but it is interesting that you point out the fragrances in candles and room fresheners are not really what it is. I like how you give the background and reasoning behind this. Never realized it is considered the most potent type.

I really liked reading this article. It's what I've pretty much suspected all along... I make my own skin care at home and I tried making similar products to so called 'natural' lines. I'm certain they aren't disclosing everything. Good to know I'm not alone in my thoughts!

I use vinegar for practically all my cleaning. Great for toilets. I don't use commercial fabric softeners and dryer sheets, but every once in a while (when I remember) I put some vinegar in the rinse water when washing towels. They come out soft and fluffy.
